Koch Ford is bringing Ford and Edmonton Oilers to Dealer Days in Edmonton on September 27 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, combining Ford test drives, Oilers alumni, family activities, food, games and prizes with an opportunity to support an important local organization.
This year, Dealer Days also includes Ford's Drive 4 Your Community program. For every eligible test drive completed during the event, Ford will donate $30 to the Kids with Cancer Society, up to 200 test drives and a maximum donation of $6,000. No vehicle purchase is required to participate.
The event also takes place during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, making the partnership with the Kids with Cancer Society especially meaningful.
Take a Test Drive and Help Make an Impact
Drive 4 Your Community connects a simple test drive with local charitable giving.
During Dealer Days at Koch Ford, each eligible Ford test drive generates a $30 donation to the Kids with Cancer Society. With a goal of reaching 200 test drives, Edmonton drivers can help unlock the full $6,000 donation just by getting behind the wheel and experiencing a Ford.
Every test drive becomes an opportunity to give back, while helping support children and families facing childhood cancer in Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
Who Is the Kids with Cancer Society?
The Kids with Cancer Society has supported children with cancer and their families since 1979.
The organization was created by a group of parents who understood how isolating and overwhelming a childhood cancer diagnosis could be. Today, the Society provides programs and services free of charge to families across Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
Its support extends beyond the child undergoing treatment. Programs also help siblings, childhood cancer survivors, bereaved families and members of the childhood cancer medical community.
For many families, that support can become a lifeline during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

What Does the Kids with Cancer Society Provide?
Family, Financial and Educational Support
A childhood cancer diagnosis can affect virtually every part of family life. Parents may need to reduce their hours or leave work entirely while caring for their child, creating significant financial pressure at the same time families are navigating treatment. The Society provides programs designed to help with emotional, educational, financial, accommodation and survivorship needs, along with recreational activities and peer support.
Counselling and Family Programs
Families facing childhood cancer can experience tremendous uncertainty, stress and fear. The Kids with Cancer Society provides access to counselling, family support programs, activities and resources designed to help children, parents and siblings cope throughout treatment and beyond.
Accommodation for Families
The Society operates Papa Ken's House, which provides free short-term accommodation to out-of-town families when other options are unavailable during treatment and follow-up appointments. Its Kids with Cancer Society House, located near the hospital in Edmonton, provides a dedicated space for family programs and support throughout different stages of the cancer journey.
Clinical Support and Pediatric Cancer Research
Support also extends into the medical community. The Society helps fund initiatives that complement hospital care, educational resources and professional development while also investing in pediatric oncology research and clinical trials. That includes support for the Muriel and Ada Hole Kids with Cancer Society Chair in Pediatric Oncology and other research aimed at improving outcomes for children with cancer.
Meet Hunter and Former Oiler Ben Scrivens
The fundraising component is only one part of Dealer Days. The free family event, presented by Ford Canada and the Edmonton Oilers, will feature Hunter, the Oilers mascot, and former Edmonton Oilers goaltender Ben Scrivens.
