The inspection is very thorough. You get a full vehicle history report, a full road test, exterior and interior appearance and condition, diagnostics, underhood and underbody components, the hybrid system if equipped, and convenience features. Anything that doesn't meet Ford's standards is repaired or replaced with a factory-authorized part before the vehicle is listed.

Engine, transmission, front-wheel and rear-wheel drive systems, steering, brakes, front and rear suspension, electrical, air conditioning and heating, technology and safety systems, emissions components, and the factory audio system. Eligibility is only the starting point. A vehicle can meet the age and kilometre requirements and still not pass the 172-point inspection or the Vehicle History Report. Only the vehicles that clear both become Ford Blue Advantage. The rest are sold as regular used vehicles.
