Koch Ford Lincoln Blog

Koch's Extended Family is an ongoing feature from the Koch Auto Group putting the most important people into the spotlight: our customers. Koch Ford Lincoln was proud to welcome DK Ford's first ever customer Carol and her husband Lou Soucy back into our showroom for her newest vehicle this week. Looking to escape the city and hit the wide open road this summer? Whether you drive a hatchback, sedan, SUV or truck, taking a little time to pack smart and be prepared means less headaches and more fun on the road ahead.   8. Map out route (and alternates)  Getting there is half the fun, and the most important thing about a road trip is making sure you have a safe route to your destination. Make sure you check the road conditions in the days leading up to your trip (for home and destination location), and plan out alternate routes in case you get detoured around an accident or constructio...

We here at Koch Ford Lincoln are very excited to offer our customers a way to give back to our local community every time they come in and visit our service department. After your service visit, Ford Canada may send you a customer survey. If you fill out and return this survey to Ford, Koch will donate $20 to one of the following charities of your choice: Canadian Cancer Society, Hope Haven Women's Shelter, United Way or Stollery Children's Hospital. Once we get a word back from Ford that a survey has been completed, our service department will contact you to ask which charity you want us ...

Like many of the thousands of commuters in Edmonton, I drive the busy Whitemud East to work every day. Almost daily there is a fair share of dodging, braking and frustration that accompany my commute. Today, I found the weather to be less than helpful and the traffic moving at a slower pace than normal for the road conditions.  As I approached the stretch before Terwilliger and 50st, I found myself caught in the normal grid lock that seems to dwell in that corner, but today I was in the wrong lane and needed over to the right to continue on the Whitemud to my destination. Turning my signal ...

Again, in case you get stuck these items may help sustain till help arrives. 5. Wipe all your windows off and clean your wipers. You can actually receive a tic...

Over the Christmas break we noticed a few changes to our new showroom! The construction workers have been hard at work installing carpet, drywall and lighting to the innards of the showroom. Our Boardroom is looking pretty spiffy with the new pot-lighting and hanging lights they installed. The offices are really starting to take shape as walls and sub-walls are built. Our cafeteria for now is still only accessible from the back of the building, but will soon be connected openly to the new section upstairs. Jeannie is getting pretty excited! There are many employees we hear stating how encou...

The holidays are a unique time of year to spend with family and friends and to really reflect on the year. Upon our reflections, we find the needs of others to be of more importance than other times of the year. It could be a neighbor, a friend, a family member or even a complete stranger, but we find the courage and generosity to help those who need our help.

With the fresh snow falls almost daily, we find ourselves lending our helping hands more often. From digging someone out of a tough snow bank or pushing a stalled vehicle off the path of traffic, we are appreciative of all the help and friendliness we see around our city. On the highways, we note that a second vehicle almost always accompanies the broken down one with a cell phone, tow ropes or booster cables. This past Wednesday, the pre-owned and fleet personal gave a helping hand to a motorist that found himself wedged firmly on an ice berm just past out main gate. Seeing that there was ...
